Our Garden

Our welcoming garden is a favourite with our residents. Split into easily accessible sections, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Our sunny front garden features a bench that overlooks the street, ideal for watching the world go by and exchanging friendly greetings with passersby, helping our residents feel like part of the local community.

Just off the conservatory is a large, accessible decking area with picnic tables and plenty of chairs with comfy cushions. It’s a popular spot for visitors staying for dinner, drinks and snacks with their relatives and friends. We have a box full of garden activity equipment, including bubbles, bats, balls, skipping ropes and hula hoops, which can also be used by visiting children.

In the lower garden, we grow runner beans, tomatoes, strawberries and lots of herbs, which many of our residents enjoy nurturing and picking. Several residents also enjoy helping the staff team put out the laundry on our many washing lines.

We also have a popular, sheltered side patio area which leads to our accessible sensory garden. Designed to be visually stimulating, there are plenty of interesting things to see along the pathway. At the end of the path is another decking area with tables and chairs.
